The Commission is anticipating that, where possible, methodologies and indicators will be developed that can be used for future evaluations of the economic impact of safety and quality initiatives in the Australian health care system.

It is proposed that work commence in October 2007 and be completed by April 2008.

Parties interested in tendering must address the evaluation criteria in the format outlined in the Request For Tender document, available in the first instance by registering on the Department's internet site at www.health.gov.au/tenders.
